Pediatric Refraction

Who this is for:

  • Squinting, sitting too close to screens, or reading difficulty

  • Headaches or eye rubbing

  • Suspected “lazy eye,” strabismus, or unequal prescriptions

  • Failed school screening

  • Family history of high myopia or significant astigmatism

What to expect:

  1. Assessment: age-appropriate vision testing and eye alignment checks

  2. Refraction: accurate measurement (including cycloplegic refraction when indicated)

  3. Plan: glasses prescription, monitoring schedule, and guidance for parents

Children may not complain of blur even when vision is reduced. Pediatric refraction helps detect refractive errors early and supports proper visual development and school performance.
